Exciting news!  Our sewing team in Port-au-Prince was generously gifted eight sewing machines this week from The Sewing Machine Project based in Madison, WI.  This gift was awarded at the perfect time, as we have some very exciting sewing projects on the horizon.

Margaret Jankowski, The Sewing Machine Project Founder/Director, shared, "A sewing machine is a unique vehicle, in that it holds endless creative possibility, undeniable practicality, and a pathway for connection and healing. We are honored to be a conduit for these empowering tools."  Vi Bella COO, Mia d'Adesky, mirrors the excitement of her team in Haiti, stating, "For our Vi Bella artisans, receiving a donation of sewing machines means empowerment, dignity, and hope. It allows them to increase their productivity, improve the quality of their work, and take greater pride in their craft. More than just equipment, these machines represent opportunity - an investment in their skills, their families, and their future."

We are deeply grateful for this gift and all the good it will bring our artisans and their families.
